Each walking stick in the Comyns collection has been superbly crafted by one of the most highly regarded silversmiths in the world. A pleasure to use and just as pleasing to look at, these really are premium class walking sticks
Comyns walking sticks are made from Burmese teak wood. The walking sticks featured on this site are finished in a walnut gloss.
The Comyns walking sticks have a silver formed handle, which is finished with a silver collar (Assay - London). The lower stick holds a silver base collar (Assay - London) with rubber tip.
The forming of the handles allows greater detail than conventional cast silver. A bonded porcelain body is electroplated with a minimum of 100 microns of silver (1mm thickness of silver) to create the highly detailed handle. The heavy thickness of the silver on this “filled” piece, allows the items to be hallmarked by the London assay office.
Comyns walking sticks are exquisite in detail and balance. Not light weight nor heavy weight just very comfortable. Recommended as a functional walking cane to aid balance together with being a very elegant and a premium fashion accessory / collectable walking stick.
We do not recommend that these walking sticks be used as a disability aid or a cane that is subjected to excessive stress or weight bearing.
